INTRODUCTION
Competitive swimming gives swimmers the opportunity to enhance their technical skill and strengthen their aerobic fitness in a training regime that stresses discipline and constant personal improvement. Competitions give swimmers the experience to put those strengths and skills to use in races, across a wide range of events and distances, and to experiment with different strategies and situational pressures. Personal performance in these situations, and the lesson learned, are more important than the medals won. Stress management, team dynamics, work ethic and dedication are all life skills that competitive swimmers will take with them beyond the pool.
Since Calvin and Clarence both have competitive swimming backgrounds, they wanted to continue this aspect of swimming in their club. The best swimmers in the club were invited to a selection process that challenged the swimmers’ skill proficiency, endurance, discipline and spirit. The successful participants formed the first APEX Swim Team (formerly CCAC Swim Team) in 2003.
Since its inception in 2003, Calvin and Clarence have led the APEX Swim Team to numerous accomplishments and milestones.

We are proud of our accomplishments
